“While walking across the street, it may be a good idea to stop staring at your phone, at least until you get to the other side.”
~ Inspired by a man who narrowly missed getting struck by a car when he carelessly stepped off the sidewalk into approaching traffic.

Oh no. Please be at least a little more mindful than that guy was. I don’t even think he was aware that he had stepped off the sidewalk until the car swerved around him.

I will walk and look at my phone. I do try to be mindful and keep it in my pocket in the car, and put ti down when I’m walking anywhere near traffic….

Oh good! I can’t say much – I walk and text often. It’s amazing how we can multi-task so well, but walking into traffic doing that? No way. Some people just don’t realize the risk they are placing on themselves.

And such a silly risk indeed. I still see people driving and texting. Shocks me every time.

Me too! Saw a lady the other day drive multiple blocks on a busy 6 lane street and never once saw her lift her head to look at what was in front of her. She made it though – surprisingly.

And fortunately, for her and everyone within that path!!!
