“It’s not what happens to you that matters, it’s how you respond to what happens to you that makes a difference.” ~ Zig Ziglar
How much difference does it make?
As Lou Holtz said, “Life is ten percent what happens to you and ninety percent how you respond to it.”
You may not have control over everything that happens in your life, but you certainly have control over how you choose to respond.

So very true! Response is everything.

Lou Holtz forgot the exception to his rule;
Chuck Norris, he happens to life and life responds to him.

That’s a good one too.

One I coined (as far as I know) that I’m quite sure of;
“90% of photography is knowing where to stand.”

That is so true! I love photography and that is something that I’ve learned, although I still have a long way to go before I perfect it.

No such thing as a perfect photographer.
Or: Everyone is a perfect photographer.
It’s all so subjective.

How about, “Life is ten per cent of what happens to you, 45 per cent of the time you waste worrying about what might happen to you, and 45 per cent of you how you respond to it”. Or something like that!

I like that! We spend way too much time worrying about things that usually never come to pass.

I have always loved that quote by Zig Ziglar, for it is so true! I tell it to my kids all the time.

I’m glad you like it and use it. It takes practice to learn how to respond well, but it certainly makes a big difference.
