After behaving badly, the 4 year old sits in the time-out chair crying and yelling about how life isn’t fair. Calmly sitting down next to her, her 6 year old friend nicely explains, “If you don’t learn to take responsibilities for your actions now when you’re a little girl, then you won’t grow up to be a very good or successful adult.”
If a 6 year old knows this, shouldn’t everyone?

This 6 years old kid have heard something at home. I wonder, if he understand the deeper meaning behind. If he does, all should know 🙂

Definitely heard it at home, but what’s most important is that she, the 6 year old, listened and remembered it. That alone means that she is on the right path. Wish all kids would hear things like that at home and then remember it.

Should? Yes. Do? No.

You are right about that. Rarely now days do people take responsibility for their actions. Their actions are either falsely justified or blamed on others.

amen!
I remember a time when Mr. T was about that age and a friend of his had to clean his room and was throwing a fit and Mr. T goes “If you don’t learn how to clean your room, then when you grow up it will be messy and girls won’t want to come over”

I agree and hope that she keeps that wisdom as she grows older.

Very wise. There seems to be quite a bit of arrested development…
