In order to accomplish anything in life, we must first have confidence in ourselves and in our abilities. We can only accomplish what we believe we can. If we say that we can’t do something, then we can’t. If we say that we can, then we can. It’s all a matter of what we believe we can do.
We are the ones who hold us back from accomplishing our goals and dreams. We are the ones who stop us from going after our desires. Perhaps we feel unworthy, not educated enough, or that we’re not fit for the task at hand. Maybe we feel that someone else could do a better job than we could.
Those are all lies. That person we look at each day in the mirror gets a thrill out of lying to us. We need to stop listening to their discouraging words and move them out of our way. With them out of the way, our self-confidence will have the chance to grow.
We must also have confidence in our abilities. In most cases, as long as the desire is there so is the ability. People with physical limitations are no exception. The way they accomplish something may be different than most, but their way may be exactly how it needs to be done for that specific time or situation.
Our abilities may need to pulled out of our inner depths and refined over time, but they are there. We are capable of so much more than we think. All we must do is believe in ourselves. We must have confidence in who we are and stop doubting. We must be confident that as long as we have the desire to do something, that we can also accomplish it.
We can reach our dreams. We can accomplish our goals. We can overcome our circumstances. We can be who we want to be. We can do anything.
Lack of self-confidence is nothing but a wall standing between us and our desires. So get out a sledgehammer, break it down and start moving.
Hope a lot of folks read your post.

There is a reason that the common saying “Yes we can” is so popular. It’s true! 🙂

That’s right! We should never think otherwise.

Yes, we stand in our way and don’t even notice what we are doing. For some, it will take more than a sledge hammer and positive thinking….however, there is help and I can attest that it’s working for me, as I’ve stepped out of my own way. 🙂

True. Maybe a wrecking ball would be better. 🙂 It can be hard to step out of our own way and I’ve found that with each new obstacle there I am again..standing in the way. It’s certainly a challenge and a constant work. I’m glad that you’re learning to step out of the way. It makes a big difference.
