As we go through life, we are given choices. We can either win or lose. We can fight or give up. We can be present each day, or we can sleep.
We can love or we can hate. We can make the most of our situations or we can let them make the most of us. We can lie down and die, or get up and live.
We don’t have to be the product of circumstances. We can overcome them. We can be exactly who we are meant to be, who we want to be.
Mind over matter. Mistakes versus lessons. Positivity over negativity.
We have choices.
I heard the following story…
Whether it’s true or not I don’t know, but the point remains the same.
Two men were in the hospital. One was dying, the other was not. The medical staff accidentally switched the patients’ charts. Later a doctor came in, read their charts, and discussed the information with them.
The man who was not dying, was told that he was dying of a terminal disease and only had a short time to live. The man who was dying was told that in a few short days he would be able to go home healthy, and would live a long life.
Who died? The man who was not dying…
There is power in positive thinking. It may not save your life, but it will certainly improve it.
We are given choices all day, every day. What will you choose?
Wow this was very similar to my one liner, and I completely agree. I have had four aunts die of cancer. None of them even felt sick until they were told but after the doctors told them, they were dead within 2 months. The mind has much more power then we realize.

What a powerful story. Very sad, but a steady reminder of just how important positive thinking is. The human mind is amazing.

I only get sick once a year. My son and I have really strong immune systems, while the rest of my family doesn’t. There have been times I’ve wondered if I’m always so well because I really and truly believe it! 🙂 I choice health and happiness.

I believe that too! We can either will ourselves to health or we can will ourselves to illness. Of course, that may not always be applicable, but I certainly believe that we can make matters much worse.
