Urgent Note

Note

While out riding this morning, I found this letter…

Jack, don’t have the party! I just overheard your sister telling Drake that it’s a setup. Your parents are onto you. They aren’t really leaving for the weekend. They’re going to come home at midnight! There’s like 50 people already planning to show up. Get the word out and cancel it now, man!

I would help you, but I’m leaving town and my parents took my phone. Good luck man. Hope you’re still alive when I get back.

Kevin

As I read the letter, I didn’t know whether to feel bad for him or laugh. For his sake though, I sure hope that somehow he gets the message before tonight. Just in case he were to cross the path, I left the letter on the sidewalk. In the words of his friend, good luck man.

This post is for today’s Writing 101 assignment hosted by The Daily Post.

You stumble upon a random letter on the path. You read it. It affects you deeply, and you wish it could be returned to the person to which it’s addressed. Write a story about this encounter.

Today’s twist: Approach this post in as few words as possible.

Poor Jack. He’s gonna be in deep doo-doo come midnight if he doesn’t find that note.
