Quintet of Radiance Award

abc-award

Awards are fun to receive and to give, and are an excellent way to show your appreciation for fellow bloggers. I am grateful for each and every one that I have received and for those who have nominated me.

Lately, I’ve been torn on whether or not I should participate in awards anymore. Reason being is that more and more people are making their blog ‘award free’, so I’m running out of people to nominate. Plus, in all honesty it’s somewhat tedious.

While tossing this around, I received the Quintet of Radiance award. Jenni, thank you so much for the nomination! If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, you should. She writes very interesting and engaging posts, and you will not be disappointed.

Having never been nominated by Jenni before, I couldn’t pass this up. Plus this is a new award, or at least new for me. I found it interesting for two reasons. First, it’s a bundle award which includes the Versatile Blogger Award, Sunshine Award, Most Influential Blogger Award, Inner Peace Award and the Awesome Blog Content Award (aka ABC Award).

The second part which caught my attention was the ‘rule’ associated with the ABC award. With this award, the nominees are asked to describe themselves using each letter of the alphabet. Upon waking this morning and seeing this award, I thought “there is no way I can come up with something for each letter.” But for fun, I’ve decided to give it a shot.

That was a lot of chatter about an award, wasn’t it? Forgive…

  4. Congratulations!!!! AND thank you!!!! 🙂

I think the awards are WONDERFUL. And I “accept” any sent my way. 🙂 But I am so strapped for time to do the posts to pass the awards on that I feel like I am dropping the ball (or award I should say). But between working, lessons, and trying to keep up with reading blogs, writing blogs, ….etc….I find it so hard to get to the awards posts.

I keep saying “some day” I will get to them. I hope I am forgiven for that! I truly appreciate your including me!!!!

Thank you! You are most welcome! No forgiveness needed. Times can be way too busy to keep up with awards, especially since they take a while to respond to. I have several myself that are still sitting in limbo. But, they’re so old now that I doubt I’ll do them. Accepting an award from 6 months ago might be a little strange.

      • 🙂 I know that feeling. I worry that people may think the awards aren’t appreciated. But they truly are. The hours I spend on writing and reading blogs now is probably over the top……but I just love this blogging world. And all of the positive that comes with it. 🙂

Same here! I probably spend a bit too much time some days, but it’s fun meeting and getting to know people. The motivation and inspiration to be found here is priceless.

          • I so agree!!! It’s amazing to be in contact with people around the world. And interestingly enough….for all of the differences we have? I find that we have more in common than not.

Looks like you had a fun time with this award, and there’s no need to ask forgiveness for the chatter; it’s good to visit a blog and see a well-enjoyed post! I also believe that you deserve appreciation for your kindness and your commitment to self-discovery, so I’ve added your site to my list of positive blogs:

Thank you for the nomination. I think I’m going to pass again though. My momentum is still high on my writing project and I want to take full advantage of it. All but 3 on your list are blogs I follow. I will go visit the ones I’m not familiar with.

If you want to accept it, you just create a regular post. Then say whatever you want in regard to receiving it. If you want to, follow the rules for the specific award (such as the ABCs here). Then, link to other blogs who you would like to nominate. All of this is optional of course. It can be tedious. But it does help to get other bloggers recognized for their writing and to show appreciation.
