Can’t Force Love

force love

You can force many things in life. You can force doors open that would otherwise stay shut. You can even lie your way into a job. But, there is one thing that you can’t force. That is love. Love must be freely given and freely received.

A forced love is a false love.

People fight to keep others in their life. They go through near madness, just trying to hold onto those they love. There are many reasons why people do this. Each situation is unique. But, one thing is for sure. Holding onto something that doesn’t want to be held onto, will only bring misery.

As you’re hoping, they’re living.

As the quote says, “If you love something, set it free. If it comes back to you it is yours. If it doesn’t, it never was.” Only time will tell.

So go ahead and live. Don’t let circumstances or waiting on the unknown, hold you back from living. You never know what’s waiting just around the corner. Enjoy your life. After all, this is the only one you’re going to get.

This is a tough fact of life or so it seems to me too. You are so right in what you say.

I used to know someone who couldn’t let go, or maybe it was that he refused to let go. His future was sealed.

If it worked out for him, then that could be a great thing. Otherwise, I would think that it would be very damaging to him. Holding onto a dream like that, can cause a lot of unnecessary mental anguish.
